Compressed Natural Gas vehicles have a long history. Some of the first automobiles were powered through natural gas, kerosene, and petro.
Today the CNG process adds more enviromentaly safer power than gasoline and diesel alone. And now some vehicles can even gain HORSE POWER DUE TO CNG CONVERSION !
CNG can be fitted on ALL cars, trucks, boats, and even lawn mowers and forklifts - ALL internal combustion engines gasoline or diesel, fuel injected or carburetor.

WHAT IS CNG?
CNG is “compressed natural gas”. Natural gas (CH4) is a naturally occurring mixture ofcombustible hydrocarbon gases found in porous formations beneath the earth’s surface.Natural gas is created by the decomposition of plant and animal remains, under greatheat and pressure, over very long periods of time. Natural gas can be found as
• Nonassociated gas - free gas not in contact with significant amounts of crude oil inthe reservoir.
• Associated gas - free gas in contact with crude oil in the reservoir.
• Dissolved gas - gas in solution with crude oil in the reservoir. For safety reasons natural gas is required to be odorized as to indicate positively, bydistinct odor, the presence of gas in air down to a concentration of not over 1/5th thelower level of flammability (1.0% in air). This is achieved by adding ethyl mercaptan, orthiophane, or amyl mercaptan to the natural gas. Compared to gasoline the energy content of CNG is 25%.The exact composition of natural gas varies between different parts of the country and different refineries. The following table shows the approximate composition of natural gas.
CLEANER Natural gas in of itself is a cleaner burning fuel than gasoline or diesel fuels. Natural gas contains less carbon than any other fossil fuel and, therefore will produce less carbon Dioxide (CO2) per mile than conventional vehicles. NGV's also emit significantly less carbon monoxide (CO), about 70% less, as well as less volatile organic compounds than their gasoline counterparts. Each of these by-products play a crucial role in the formation of greenhouse gases.
NGV's dramatically reduced tailpipe emissions. According to the Natural Gas Vehicle Coalition, a typical NGV can reduce exhaust emissions by:
- Carbon Monoxide (CO) by 70%
- Non-methane organic gas (NMOG) by 87%
- Nitrogen Oxides (NOx) by 87%
- Carbon Dioxide (CO2) by almost 20%below that of gasoline vehicles.

WHAT VEHICLES CAN I OR SHOULD I CONVERT TO BI-FUEL OR DUAL FUEL?
WE CAN CONVERT ALL INTERNAL COMBUSTION GASOLINE OR DIESEL ENGINES.
NON-E.P.A. CERTIFIED KITS ARE ALLOWED FOR ALL VEHICLES THAT OPERATE WITHIN OBDII AND OBDI GUIDELINES AS PER E.P.A.
CONVERTING VEHICLES TO RUN ON CNG IS A VERY HEALTHY THING TO DO FOR YOU, THE ENGINE, AND ENVIROMENT. MAKE SURE YOUR VEHICLE IS IN GOOD OPERATING CONDITIION BEFORE CONVERSION. CNG BURNS CLEANER THAN GASOLINE/DIESEL/PROPANE.
VEHICLES WITH LOWER MILEAGE, HARDNED CYLINDER HEAD VALVES AND WELL MAINTAINED ENGINES ARE RECOMMENDED.

Marvin,
Great talking with you today. The truck is running great and I am getting used to how to use it. I have found that I have lost a small bit of giddy-up when on CNG but not enough to really notice. If I am merging on an onramp and suspect that I may want to have extra power available, I switch to gasoline until the merge is completed and then switch back. MPG is about the same. All in all...very satisfied....especially since my fuel bill went from $200/mo to $49/mo. With the Ok tax credit, I should be able to break even on my investment in 12 months from the date of purchase.
Vehicle: 2003 Chevy S10, 4.3 V6
MILES; 91,000
CONVERSION DATE: 9/15/2011
